Cytomic Announces AAX DSP Support for ProTools HDX

To coincide with the release of Avid ProTools HDX, Cytomic announces support for the AAX plugin format, and in particular hardware acceleration on the new floating point capable DSP chips with ultra low latencies.
The AAX plugin format versions of all Cytomic products will be available early 2012 as a separate purchase at the same price as existing products (currently USD99), and will include both the Native AAX and DSP AAX plugins for both MacOS and Windows. Existing product lines will continue to support AU/VST/RTAS on both MacOS and Windows as a single product.
A technology demonstration of The Glue running as both Native AAX and DSP AAX is on show at the AES 2011 Avid booth.
