This vst is hot!

I'm in a mix right now and using The Glue. This vst is hot!!!! The Glue is a must have in my set up, it is simply on every track i've done so far since i have it. As a master, or sidechain, it's simply wonderfull, punchy or smooth. I come from a 100% hardware environment, and so it took me a while to find a good alternative

The Glue is a world-class plug-in

The Glue is a world-class plug-in and we reckon it offers amazing value. Factor in the extra options and you have a very tidy and useful compressor with more real-world uses than the design it's based on. Both the Mix and Range controls add a host of options for dialling in the compression flavour, and in practice we found this made The Glue an incredibly flexible compressor suitable not just for use on the master bus, but for individual instruments too.

The Drop is pure magic, get it now

The Drop is a success on so many levels, it’s a little mind-boggling that it’s priced under $100. As an emulation of analog filters The Drop is a stunning achievement. It’s hard to overstate just how accurate these models really are. That The Drop actually models the circuits down to the transistors means that its sound is 99 percent identical to the real thing—and as someone with a studio full of the real thing, I’m not exaggerating. The Drop is pure magic and I’ll be using it daily for the foreseeable future. Get it now.

Hear why everyone is raving about it!

I've never been an advocate of expensive outboard gear, but I never found a software compressor that had the ‘magic’ of outboard buss compressors... until I got The Glue. The difference between it and the typical software compressor is not subtle - it clamps and tames your signals without any of that transient coloration, or sterile clamping found on most software compressors. Don't let the low price fool you, if you give it a test-drive I'm pretty sure you'll hear why everyone is raving about it!

I heart The Glue

I heart the glue... finally, a compressor with the short attack times i've always wanted plus side chainy goodness to deliver the meat to my productions that my butcher cannot.... Cytomic does no wrong here!

I don't know how you're doing this but congratulations

You won't see my name associated with many products but I'm proud to be on your website. The features and purity of sound of The Glue show a deep understanding of how compressors work. Your mix control invites experimentation with parallel compression and your range control allows the Glue to grab the sound early without over compressing. The Glue not only moves more like analogue compressors but most surprisingly it also has a nice ‘tone’ which is always a characteristic of different analogue boxes but missing on other plugins I've tried. I don't know how you're doing this but congratulations and thank you.

The Drop is arguably the finest filter plugin ever made

Now that the finished version is finally here, we're happy to report that it's turned out every bit as special as we hoped and expected it to. Indeed, The Drop is arguably the finest filter plugin ever made, with a superlative sound and extensive feature set. The Drop is packed with powerful, fun and genuinely useful features, making it a fantastic plugin for anyone who uses filters creatively. Crucially, no matter how deep you choose to go with it, it always sounds absolutely superb.

A ‘more of everything’ compressor

The Glue is based on the legendary SSL bus compressor and makes a mighty fine job of performing transparent bus compression. Compared to similar plug‑ins, it's more transparent but without sounding flat or boring. It's kind of a 'more of everything' compressor, and at a great price too! It not only performed impeccably on bus‑compression duties, but was also able to tighten up bass guitar, acoustic guitar, drums and vocals without adding a 'sound'.

A Tweaker's Delight

This is so much more than a detailed plug‑in version of the beloved Tube Screamer. Not only has it been modelled in fastidious detail, but you can tweak to your heart’s content and really dig into the fine detail of circuitry design — with no risk of burning out any chips!

Paul White - Sound On Sound, April 2025

The Glue

The Glue is an analog modelled compressor plug-in based on the classic 80's British big console buss compressor with some handy additional features. The compressor action is smooth and transparent as it uses the same high quality algorithms used in circuit simulators, but optimised to run fast. In addition to the regular compressor controls it has: Mix / Range / Sidechain High Pass knobs, External Sidechain support, Peak Clip, and Advanced Oversampling.

The Drop

The Drop is an analog modelled resonant filter plug-in based on classic analog synth filters, as well as completely new designs. There is a huge level of detail in the models, which gives them amazing drive and tone, as well as smooth audio rate modulation behaviour. The original structure of the circuits is preserved in each model, as is the location and shape of all major non-linearities.

The Scream

The Scream is a detailed discrete component model of the classic green TS808 "Tube Screamer" pedal. It has input and output class-A transistor buffers, Boyle macro modelled op-amps, and a selection of fully customisable clipping diodes. In fact every value of every component can be changed and randomised to customise your tone. Choose from a selection of diodes including silicon, germanium, or LEDs to create asymmetric clipping combinations, chain any number of diodes in series or even bypass them altogether and have a high gain boost that then clips the op-amp.
